Warren Brush

Warren Brush is a Permaculture Designer and Educator working mostly in North America and Africa, founder of True Nature Design, and co-founder of Quail Springs Learning Oasis and Permaculture Farm and Trees for Children.


For more than 20 years, Warren has helped empower thousands of people in their discovery of sustainable living and respect for land and communities. He teaches courses including: Permaculture Certification, Rainwater Harvesting Systems, Ferro-Cement Tank Building, Compost Toilet Systems, Greywater Solutions, Water for Every Farm, Drought Proofing, Cultural Mentoring, Introduction to Permaculture Systems, Corporation Sole Formation, Various Origins Skills, Food Forestry, among other offerings.

Gabriel Howearth

Specialty: Seed Saving and Organic Farming



For over thirty years, Gabriel Howearth has traveled the globe working with Indigenous people to restore Biodiversity to Agriculture by identifying valuable endangered food and medicinal plants. 


In the early 1990‘s, Gabriel Co-Founded Seeds of Change, the first organic seed company in the US.  His collection was the foundation for their original selections.


More recently, he created Buena Fortuna Botanical Gardens in Baja Sur, Mexico.  The ten acre site hosts over 4,000 species of native and introduced plants.

Loren Luyendyk

Specialty:  Horticulture and Water Systems



Loren has over 12 years experience in Permaculture design, having managed several small farms while doing site specific design and installation on over 40 residential edible landscapes in Santa Barbara with his business Santa Barbara Organics.  He is also a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture.


A lifetime surfer, he was inspired to create Surfers Without Borders to address the issue of ocean pollution through Permaculture and sustainable design.  He travels the world consulting with local and helping to design and install projects that demonstrate sustainability.


Loren has also been involved with the creation of the Orella Stewardship Institute in Gaviota California, assisting with the design and implementation of a 300-acre Permaculture Demonstration Site.
